We're back!

We are back from holidays. We had such a great time, I was sad to be coming home. In the past, holidays in a unit have been trying at the best of times, but this holiday was unreal. Maybe it was because the kids were a little older, maybe I just have the hang of it a little better, but the whole four days went like a dream. The kids even slept well! Had to laugh at myself though, rocking up to the beach one morning with coffee and Greg's dark glasses....the result of too much bourbon the night before! I must have been a sight! But I did manage to make a very cool sand car complete with racing bars and popper holders for my two rev head boys!
I got some very cool shots there too. My camera guy, Michael said they were wow!!! It is taking far too long to upload them, so maybe next time, I can share them with you!
Christmas lights in the city tomorrow and a little party for playgroup on Sunday. Lots of Christmas celebrations everywhere....I think I have enough photos to do about 20 Christmas layouts! No Kidding...three santa photos, three putting up the tree, three photo shoots, three kindy party layouts, three pre kindy party layouts, three letters to Santa...all this before Christmas actually arrives.....then there are the photos of other people's children, that i love and have to scrap too! No wonder my pile of layouts to be put in an album is over 2 feet high! And I thought I would take less photos with a digital camera!!

Christmas is coming

I am almost finished christmas shopping. I seem to have an awful lot of gifts for Thomas and not many for anyone else. He is just so easy to buy for...he absolutley LOVES anything he likes...IYKWIM! Joseph just loves cars and all he wants is a real car to put in the garage next to ours (his words, not mine!). Good luck buddy!
Just a few gifts left to get for family and my friends and I will be done.
We had a great weekend. The boys got a set of bunk beds for their room. We have them as two singles for now, but when they are older, the option is there for them to be together. We also saw Hi5 in concert. Very exxy, but well worth the experience! Even for me. Every time I saw the boys enjoying themselves i got all teary!I would never pay for anyone under 2 though, they just don't have the attention span! So lucky I didn't get Audrey a ticket hey!
We went to a BBQ at Rosie and Clint's new house. It is really nice and Rose always makes her home look so comfortable so quickly. We always seem to look like we have just moved in, even though we moved here over 4 years ago!
Finally, some new pictures...

Thomas and Jose at Hi 5, Joseph and his best girl and Thomas, Rosie, Emmy and Jose on the way to the concert.

back in the swing of things

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnhhhhjhuuuuuyyyyy
That was from Audrey. It means hurry up Mummy, I am hungry!
So this will be a short one.
We are doing fine, getting better each day. Still in total shock and not ready to accept things, but in time it will sort itself out.
I have been scrapping up a storm and enjoying every moment. It is taking a while to get back into my style though, I haven't really had a big scrap since isc! Michael has asked me to do an album for him of all his photos of AnneMarie, so I will have to start that soon.
I have almost all my Christams shopping done too. I am very excited about xmas this year...can't wait to see my friends from up north and spend some time with local ones too!

I lost a dear friend on Saturday night.
I have never lost anyone before in my life, and I don't know what to do or how to feel.
I am still waiting for her to ring me up and say "PSHYC!!!"
We don't even know what happened as yet and that is hard too.
Please pray for my friend Anne Marie, mum to two precious little girls and wife to Mick. Friend to half of Queensland. Literally.

Well, it has been a very intense week, but I am finally home!! Yay! I really missed Greg and the kids while I was away in Sydney, but I learnt so much and had such a good time that it all went soooo quickly.
I went to the Inspiration Scrapbooking Convention run by For Keeps at Penrith. Hope, Rachel and I left on Thursday morning and got in late last night. It was the single most exciting experience I have had in a while...so many creative, happy, inspiring people and so much new product...I was in heaven. I kind of knew it would be an awesome experience when I walked into my first class, and there on the table was a gorgeous pink Chatterbox embellishment kit, just for me!!!! I have been waiting for these to be available for eons and thanks to Addicted to Craft we were the first in OZ to get the pink ones!!! I was so excited I rang home and told Greg! Maxine Hazebroek taught a great class, then we went to an SEI class. Last up was Heidi Grace...she is so chirpy! I caught up with some old friends and made some new ones.
On the Saturday night, we all glammed up for the ball! Everyone looked amazing. They announced the Elite Team for 2006 and handed out prizes and the night went too quickly! Must have been all the champagne, because before we knew it, it was midnight and we all turned into pumpkins...or fuddy duddys at least cause we went home to bed!
Sunday we took Kerrin's take out treasures class...it was unreal and I love what I made there. We did another SEI class with Anita Oldham...she is such and organised tutor! And we made an altered book with Kate Mason...soo much work to do on that one!!
All in all it was a really cool experience and I am glad I went! So thanks Rach and Hope, cause I would never have gone if it wasn't for you!
