The Aftermath

Hello friends! Hope you have had a great weekend! I have been very busy this week in the aftermath of the auction that was a complete waste of time! We have had more people through this week than in any other weeks, and none of them even knew about the auction. It seems like every time I turned on the computer, the REA would ring to say he was bringing someone through in 30 minutes…so I would race around like a chook with it’s head cut off and try to clean up in time. Maybe soon…..

Other news is that Thomas starts Preschool tomorrow. He is very excited, but a bit nervous. He didn’t want to go to sleep tonight, just in case he had a bad dream. He never fails to bring a smile to my face, even when I am cross with him!

Jose has learned to recognize the Holden symbol now. So we know about 5 brands of vehicles and he points each of them out WHENEVER he sees them…each and every time. The next one I teach him will have to be a less popular car so that I don’t have to be subjected to “I saw a … Mummy, did you see the … I saw a ….did you see that one?” too many times in a car trip. We were stuck in traffic for one and a half hours the other day and by the end of it I think I was close to losing my mind!

Audrey has started to talk a little more. She has been making a few ‘words’ for a while, but I have only just worked them out! OOPS! So she says Mummy, Daddy, Thomas, Hello, Bye, Baby, Dolly and that. Oh and Nononononono. That is a favourite!

I am trying to find time to scrap every day. Even if it is only for 15 minutes and I arrange some photos or pick the papers. I find it keeps me sane! And motivated! It is nice to be able to sit at my bench again too, even if it is way too small!

Finally guys, if you do happen to stumble upon my blog, please let me know you have visited, then you won’t be bored by the same stories when I do get to chat with you!
Tata,
Ang

I should be cleaning and getting ready for the auction, but I am here, checking the blogs and cruising the boards...anyone want a lesson in procrastination, come and see me...I am the master!
We went down to Crazy Critters this morning. It is an indoor playground and coffee shop. Costs a bomb to go there for the morning, but well worth it! The kids are knackered and they were happy to have an outing in this rainy weather. It is great for the grass, but we want it to stop, so we can mow for tomorrow.
I wanted to upload some pics from the last month too. I kind of stopped taking pictures last week, when I realised I had taken over 200 of Joseph's birthday!

I love the picture of Audrey drawing...it printed nicely too!

WOW

I have just been totally blown away by this site Digital Grin. It is amazing...this is what photography is all about. I love how these artists share their images and search for feedback. There are some truely amazing artists here. Makes me want to be a MUCH better photographer...maybe I should do a course first!

Not much happening on the home front. The auction is on Saturday, so we are madly cleaning up and sorting to make it look good. Please, please, please let us sell and get the price we want!

I have been scrapping up a storm of late too! Everything around me is inspiring me to do something...I even scrapped a couple more wedding photos and LOVE that LO, but can't post it til the first because it is a DT one!

Thomas starts preschool next week. He got the teacher I wanted him to have, she seemed very nice at the information evening. I am really looking forward to this phase in his life, he is going to learn so much and really love school I am sure! It will be good for me too, cause I will be able to help out at the school a little bit, something I have been wanting to do for ages.

Have good weekend...and think of us at 11am on Saturday!

A conversation with Thomas

It is Joseph's birthday tomorrow. Thomas has been obsessing with what he wants to buy people for their birthdays since we started mentioning it. We were sitting at the table having dinner when he came out with this...I actually teared up and had a little cry!

"Mummy, when it is your birthday, I am going to buy you two things. Do you know what?"
"No, Thomas, what would you like to get?"
"A long flower and a gun!"
"A gun!!! What do you mean?"
"I want to get you a rainbow gun"
"What is a rainbow gun?"
"You shoot it into the sky every morning and then you can see a beautiful rainbow every day."

Days like this make it all worthwhile!

Happy New Year!

Hi all! Happy New Year and all that jazz! Hope you had a great night and managed to stay awake to see in the new year. We ended up going to a friends to play some board games. It was soo much fun and I was the designated driver!! Just as well, coz I had promised the boys that I would take them to the beach today! There is no way I would have driven all that way on my own with a hangover!!!

So, 2006. What will it bring for us? Hopefully, our house will sell at auction on the 21st. Then we can start building our new house, complete with scrapping room for me, YAY! Thomas will start preschool, and I am considering returning to teaching...have to sort out daycare and after school care first! No babies in the plan as yet...we might try and hold off til the whole house situation is totally sorted...there is no way I am moving when I am pregnant if I can help it!
All in all, I am looking forward to this next year! Audrey will be walking soon and is saying more and more every day. Josey is 3 on Friday! 3!! My little baby boy! Looking forward to a quiet week here...we have been flat strap the last couple of days and I am near exhaustion!
