I am still here!

Just been far too busy to post here unfortunately! I have had soo many things going on that I just forgot to blog...barely been checking up on any either.

But I have a few spare minutes now, so a quick update on what the family and I have been up to!

* The house is coming along nicely. We have decided on a design for the kitchen and we are both very happy with it. The windows are in and the cladding goes up next week.

* Poor Greg has tonsilitis...he's been asleep for the past two days straight! I think that candle that was being burnt at both ends has finally met!

* Thomas ran in his first cross country. He was so excited to be in the race...looked totally adorable in his little sprts uniform too...pumping those little legs around a MASSIVE oval!

* Joseph and Thomas have their first Tae Kwon Do grading on the weekend. Hope it goes well for them, they are a bit silly in class but when they focus, they have great form. Must be fun to be a kid hey!

* Audrey and I went to the coast together today. Last time we drove up I got a running monolog, so this time I was prepared...I bought music! However it didn't stop her and this time we played "who can tell the biggest porky"...mostly one sided imagination stuff...Auds won with "there is a tiny birdy drinking your latte! open the window and make it fly away!" That is what she said...word for word!

* I did my first photo shoot on the weekend. I took photos of my friend Susan and her family. They are such a beautiful group to work with. Very photographic too...the photos turned out brilliantly, if I do say so myself!

Scrapping news!

There is a bit though!

* Been busy coming up with some great ideas for classes at Scrapbook City in July and August. Come and check out what we have on offer at the moment too...there is a lot to choose from.

* Had a couple of submissions accepted which is cool. I have not subbed in months, but was inspired to give it a go again. So my mini house is going o be in Paper Trends and The KI mini album that was at the shop for about 3 days is going to be in SM!

* I have been busy working on a Guest DT position I was lucky enough to get over at I am A Scrapaholic! I LOVE some of the LO I have done with the kit I was sent...I will upload a couple of images soon.

* I have also done a couple of layouts with the New Heidi Grace papers and embellishments. I you don't have any of these yet...chack them out at Scrapbook City PRONTO!

* I have some other exciting news to share soon too!

Well I am off downstairs to do a couple of LO for the SC colour comp...due in Canberra on Thursday....hope they got there in time!

Classes for May and June!

I know I am slack, it is already past the first week of May. But here they are, my two classes for May and June for Scrapbook City. Above is the Double Frame and Layout class using the Bo Bunny Shabby Princess range.
These are from my Every Last Scrap class. We actually complete 4 layouts and two cards using one of the K & Co Scrap Kits. I had planned on using it all, but there really was enough to make another 3 layouts! I would not expect anyone to get that done in a day, but I think everyone will be happy with what they can achieve in a class. These layouts can be seen in store along with the cards and remaining layouts for ELS.

Thomas's Birthday pictures

Here he is on his sixth birthday!
Hard to believe how old he is...so exciting to think of all that is yet to come!

I know...a Fantastic FOUR cake on his sixth birthday...but there was method to his madness. I had bought the set of figures ages ago on sale. He was with me and knew they were in 'the cupboard'. He asked for them weekly til I said he could have them for his birthday. Then he had an idea! What if he had a Fantastic Four Birthday Cake. Then we could decorate the cake with the figures, they would be opened, so not a birthday gift as such! AND he would get them a couple of days early! Clever little thing! So to NOT use my phenomenal cake decorating skills again, he opted for the plain cake...although that said he did design it himself, not pick it out of a book...

And here is the troop at Movie World. Thomas wanted to go on a ride, hence the sad face. He actually enjoyed himself a lot more. Jose on the other hand, while he looks estatic here was miserable for the best part of the day because he was 1cm too short to go on a couple of the rides...the ones he really wanted to go on. He has been eating all his veges since we got back though, just to ensure he does grow that little bit more before we go next time! Now if I could just convince hime to eat some fruit.....
We went with Rach, Danen, Georgia, Brooke, Amy, Daniel, Bailey, Jaiden, Sebastian, Lorena, Natalie and Gabby. I think a big group is great to go with and would definatley do it again next time! Greg and I would love to go alone too...we both love the full on scarey rides and would like to go on them more than once in a day!

I love being Validated!

Especially when it is by Adam Duritz!!!
Anyone who does not know who Adam Duritz is...well many probably don't, but I know some of you do...he is the lead singer of my favourite band in te whole wide world the Counting Crows.

Now, he has recently started posting an ezine which is a review of all things he thinks is cool. it is a fun read and I was happy to see in the first issue he made a special note of 'Panic! at the disco' as a great up and coming band...who I had playing on my blog a while back and made the girls suffer through the cd time and again last time we went away!

Anyway, he just posted his second issue and lo and behold there is a huge plug for my all time favourite TV show Twin Peaks! So there you go, on some subliminal level, maybe we do think alike :)

Down the Rabbit Hole

Read and enjoy...if you have time...this man has a lot of knowledge about a lot of stuff!!!

Blogger is being difficult!

Well, it has been a long time coming but the past couple of days have been driving me crazy!
I have so much to upload and nowhere to put it! New classes, photos from Thomas'' birthday and the pix from movieworld are dying to be uploaded, but alas not tonight again!!!

Instead I will share my excitement over an old love rediscovered. Back in the early nineties when I was a hard core teeny bopper :) I had a massive obsession with New Kids on the Block. This lead me to a smaller, but still very passionate obsession to Tommy Page, who not many people have heard of. I had all his tapes but no longer have a cassette recorder to play them on. For some reason I had to get my hot little hands on some of that music, so I spent an hour or so online and found a site in the US who will send me his CD's for $8 each! woohoo!!!! Then, I searched further and found an Edie Brickell CD that I had been told long ago was out of production never to be heard of again! And I was estatic! So now I am eagerly awaiting the package due to arrive very soon to relive the music of my youth. It is sooo different to what I love now, hopefully I will still like it.

I am working at the craft show tomorrow and Sunday on the Fiskars stand and on Saturday at the Scrapbook City stand. If you are there please come and say hi! I am really looking forward to having a big weekend working, but not so much to the recovery that will inevitably follow!

I have also started Bowen Therapy this week...it is very weird and so different to physio. I am going to try it for three weeks and see how my back goes, although I actually have been feeling relief after the first session, which is pretty amazing...

We designed the kitchen this week. I still have to work on greg with the design, he is worried there won't be enough bench space, but I don't need too much bench, I just cover it with junk anyway!

Tagged again!

OK, I know I have done this one and in the interest of anyone who read the last one I will make up some new and totally random facts about me!! Thanks Alicia and Sue...I do love to have a rant!!!

1. I have finally given up my peg obsession...there used to be a special order to pegs and the way I hung the clothes...now I do everything I can to NOT use a peg!!!
2. I miss sleeping in. A LOT. I am a night owl (note the time!) and really do not function well in the morning! Luckily the kids are beginning to entertain themselves for half an hour or so on a weekend, so I do manage a wee sleepin every now and then.
3. I love horror films, the gorrier the better!! I love the suspense and seeing half the movie through sheilded eyes!
4. I am the eldest sibling in my family. I have a younger sister and brother.
5. My favourite band ever is the Counting Crows. I *heart* Adam Duritz...he is the only celeb I ever sent fan mail to in my teens! Not exactly every girls pin up boy, but he has an amazing voice and writes what he lives. I went to their last oz concert and it was the best concert I have ever been to!
6. Like Tanya, I too am a Twin Peaks fan. I have the soundtrack and let the kids listen to it the other day...they quite liked the mellowness of it! I HAD the Laura Palmer diary but my mum found it and burned it, when I was 16...I can't remember what was in it that was so bad, but she must have felt bad about it because 5 years later she came to Fire Walk With Me, with me! It is OK though mum...I get it now I have my own little girl!
7. As a teenager I was really into New Kids on the Block and still get excited when I see Donnie Whalberg and Joe McIntyre on the big and small screen!
Hope they weren't too boring...or at least not too strange!
I will post those pics tomorrow!
